The first drawing is the basic mechanics of the scissor. As an example, the top section of the scissors is closed by a line lifting it.
This closes the entire scissors. As in Mt 25, the other end of the scissors recieves the same treatment. This allows the motion of the scissors to be reversed by movement of one lever.
The second drawing is of Mt 25 showing that if the lever is at the 9'o'clock position, that it would have been in position to be lifting the scissors.
The end of the lever would have a cam that would be at a 4:1 ratio meaning that for every 4 inches of travel, the lever would lift the scissors 1 inch.
The 3rd picture is of scissors. by securing one side to a pivot, the other side could have a slide allowing it to move. This would help to keep the load of the weight on the scissors
and help to maintain rdial alignment. This would mean the lines from the lever would not support the scissors, but act only to open and close them.
As Mt 25 shows 90 degrees of rotation of the lever, if the top of the scissors is closed 1/2 as in the 3rd drawing, a travel of 3 inches equates to a travel of 12 inches of the lever.
This also if using a 2:1 ratio on the weights allow a 1 pound weight to replace a 2 pound weight. This would reduce the under balance resitence by up to 50%.
Also, because of the construction of the scissors, a weight would need to be placed on each side. Add the 1 weight on the lever and this would be 3 weights working together. Attempting to use 1 weight on the end of the scissors would interfere with the operation of the scissors.
Also, the mechanism for the outside of the scissors that transfer the force of the line would require tubes to guide the lines to prevent them from rubbing and wearing out. This is something that would be basically a home made hoist to allow the movement of the lever to be factored at a 4:1 ratio which it would be at the top.
The warped borad would be a board running between the 2 outer rims of the wheel. It wouold make the wheel rigid and also not allow people to see inside the wheel.
there is more, but I think for now it will be enough. Maybe now you will see why I find this tiring.
